MPS STANDARDS

To push shooters to expand their skill, I designed a set of challenges for both Pistol and Rifle.

I hope this helps you to unlock your full potential, and if you can't do it now, remember, you're just some dry fire sessions away from you goals so go and get after it. The ranges I train are small, 23m MAX distance so the Standards display the same limitation. I would like to run them an 25, 30m but I cant.
All the sets are static which is marksmanship in isolation NOT in application. I cannot stress enough how much a shooter needs to train move and shoot and shoot on the move. There's no better way to train this than competition.
Try it, you will thank me later.

If you complete the MPS STANDARDS you will be awarded the MPS PATCH and have your name among a brotherhood of Top shooters. Pistol winners get a Patch as do Rifle winners ,so if you're a top shot I will send you two patches!

Q: Is the Pistol and Rifle Patch the same?

A: Yes, I'm not a Patch factory, just a shooting instructor.

TARGET, EQUIPMENT & RULES

Set a USPSA target and you're good to go. Pistol Standards are run with the weapon holstered. Hand position not important but shooter cant touch the pistol. Rifle can be run in hunting position.

For clarification, you need to shoot bellow the time stamps, example: Set 3 - Bill Drill bellow 1.9s means the slowest time MUST be 1.89s, hence bellow 1.9s.

EQUIPMENT: Rifle and/or Pistol.
RULES: Line breaks must be definitive, meaning the actual bullet must have clearly passed through a portion of the scoring zone. No grease rings, or close calls. These are pass or fail drills. Any shot that is missing the scoring area designates the run as a failure. This means that no additional rounds can be fired to make up any missed rounds.
The Challenge can be run with any pistol (minimum of 9mm or greater caliber)
and belt setup (concealment, open class, duty rig).

Hands don't touch pistol for draw. ALS/Kydex only holsters (competition rig): +.10 added to overall time.
Rifle minimum of 5.56mm or greater caliber. Rifle reloads MUST BE from belt mag pouch, back pocket or plate carrier.

The submission must be in real time with no edits or breaks in the footage. If the video takes 30 minutes or more don't worry, I will enjoy it with a nice gentleman's drink.
